Blood & Vows World

10 Things You Should Know About the Blood & Vows World

Are you ready for your next mafia romance obsession?

The Blood & Vows series is a gripping mafia romance trilogy following La Famiglia Marcelli, a Manhattan crime dynasty navigating love, loyalty, and the cost of legacy. If you live for forced proximity, possessive anti-heroes, and women who refuse to break, pull up a chair.

Here’s everything you need to know before you fall in.

1. It’s Manhattan-set, Bronx-born, and the Marcellis run more than the city.

La Famiglia Marcelli started in the Bronx and now hold court from a Manhattan high-rise. They move money through real estate, high-end art galleries, designer nightclubs, and crypto hedge funds, and run weapons trafficking, extortion, political blackmail, and underground fight rings under the table. Their alliances stretch from Sicily to South America.

This is empire-scale mafia romance, Political, dynastic, and obssessive.

2. Every book is a standalone HEA. The world is bigger than any one couple.

Each Marcelli member gets their own book and their own happily-ever-after. Read them in any order, or fall down the rabbit hole and read them all in order. No cliffhangers. No fake-outs. The romance always wins.

But the world arc, the betrayals, the rivalries, the long-burning vendetta, is woven through every book, building toward a final reckoning.

3. The Marcellis have a moral line

Possessive, morally grey, and on-page violent, yes. But the Marcellis don’t traffic humans. They don’t hurt women, children, or innocents. That’s the line. It’s what separates the men you’ll fall for from the rivals they’re hunting, and it’s the moral spine that lets you root for monsters in suits without flinching.

4. The trope buffet is generous

🖤 Mafia romance
🔥 Forbidden attraction
🥀 Enemies to lovers
⚔️ Forced proximity
🖤 Morally gray

As well as… captor x captive, sin-in-a-suit MMC, she-won’t-break FMC, former Army Ranger, protective/possessive hero, touch her and die, fierce, independent heroine, rival crime families, family loyalty, danger & suspense, high heat, he falls hard, ruined for anyone else.

5. Book 1, Vow of Fire, opens with Dante 🥀

The eldest Marcelli son. Ex-special forces. The Family’s enforcer. Trained to kill without question, until his next target is an art gallerist who stares him down like she isn’t afraid to die. He should silence her. Instead, he falls for her. Captor x captive. Slow-burning obsession. A man on the edge, and the woman who pushes him over.

6. The brothers are not interchangeable

Dante is the enforcer. He’s a former soldier with the discipline and training to match, and he’s the man the family turns to when things get dangerous. Marco is the political operator. He speaks five languages, knows everyone worth knowing, and can charm a senator just as easily as he can destroy an enemy. Nico is the hacker. He keeps to himself, watches everything and has an unnerving ability to know what you’re doing before you do. Isabella is the only daughter and every bit as formidable as her brothers. She runs an underground fight ring, plays by her own rules and answers to no one.

Pick your poison.

7. The matriarch runs the family. And she has a body count.

Valentina Marcelli — La Madre — is fifty-nine, widow of the former Don, and runs the empire with icy elegance and brutal efficiency. There are rumors she ordered her own husband’s death.

She has a painful truth she’s never told anyone, and a novella coming. Vow of Iron will reveal who she loved, what she lost, and the blood she spilled to claim the crown. Before she was the queen, she was a girl with a gun.

8. The world expands far beyond the Marcellis.

Rival families and criminal organisations also play a big part in the series. There’s the powerful Volkov Bratva, the Mexican cartels, and the Sicilian connections Enzo Marcelli established decades ago. Some of the later books take us deeper into those worlds. In Vow of Shadows, a cartel princess is hiding from her father. Vow of Duty brings the Marcellis and Volkovs together through an arranged marriage intended to end a long-running blood feud. And in Vow of Sin, a hitman is sent to kill a woman on the run, only to end up protecting her instead.

The empire is wider than one family. So is the heat.

9. It reads alongside the dark romance you already love

If your Kindle is full of books by Rina Kent, Ana Huang, Cora Reilly and Sadie Kincaid, I think you’ll feel right at home with Blood & Vows. These are romances first and foremost, but they’re set in a darker world where the heroes are morally grey, fiercely possessive and willing to cross lines for the women they love. There’s plenty of heat, but there are real emotions and consequences behind it too.

I’ve always preferred heroes who don’t need to shout to be dangerous, and that’s very much the case with the men in this series. They’re controlled and powerful, but they’re also fighting their own demons. As the relationships develop, that control begins to slip, and the line between protecting the woman they love and wanting to possess her becomes increasingly difficult to define.

10. The series ending will gut you (In the best way)

Blood & Vows begins with three Marcelli brothers, three very different love stories, and a family where loyalty comes before everything else. But the deeper you get into their world, the more you’ll discover that everyone has secrets, old enemies don’t stay buried, and even the strongest family bonds can be tested.

Each book brings a new couple to the forefront, while the Marcelli family story continues in the background. So expect familiar faces, complicated loyalties, plenty of danger, and relationships that carry on long after their own book ends.

In this family, loyalty is everything, even when it breaks your heart.
